IntroductionRole-play laws are the laws of the Baktrainia Empire. They are designed to create a rich role-playing experience and maintain order in our world. Although these laws are designed to be broken, doing so will incur an in-game punishment such as:
-Jail time
-Fines
-Property Seizures
-Property demolitions
-Banishment from the Empire
-Kick
Basic Rules- Local chat (/ch local) is to be used at all times for Role-Play
- Before two players engage in PVP dialogue is needed from both parties
(Do not AFK kill)
- No harassment of players during Role-Play even if you are considering it Role-Play
- A murder or death in Baktrainia is considered to be a serious crime in which only other players besides the victim may report it
- Criminals may be put in the server “jail” or a Role-Play jail found in several of the major cities
- If your character is a bandit/crook the max Baktrans you can demand from a player in a "robbery" is 35
(You can obtain higher amounts through special negotiations Ex: a ransom/kidnapping, etc...)
- What you've done in Baktrainia does not go away after you log off and log back on. If you've committed a crime you are still considered a criminal untill your name is cleared up from paying a fine or doing jail time.
- Upon re-spawning from a death while in-game revenge-killing will not be tolerated.
(If a player is getting out of hand and killing every chance he gets please report him to an admin by submitting a petition)
Towns, Businesses, Factions, or Quest Lines-for any town, business or faction money as well as approval from the Baktrainia senate are needed (one can apply for any of these in the Jobs, Businesses, & Quests topic)
-running or particpating in an illegal faction/business, those that are not registered and have not been applied for, are a serious role-play offense and can even become a server offense depending on the severity
Mining and Gathering Resources-all mining/gathering should be done in a specified area that we or another player has provided for you
-illegal mining/gathering will be taken as a serious offense and will not be tolerated (multiple counts of illegal mining/gathering may get you kicked or banned)
Crafting/Smelting
-In Baktrainia, smelting and crafting is an extremely specialized occupation.
-Setting up a craft bench or a furnace is a very complex procedure.
-Therefore, it is beyond the average citizen's capacity to build craft benches and furnaces.
-One may apply for such a role on the forums
IC/OOC-you must always stay in character unless using OOC
-you are not allowed to /msg an admin for help on a quest.
ex. /msg Flavius I need to give you something where are you?
or /msg fowler come to my shop i need you to buy things now
-do not constantly obstruct the environment
ex. cutting down half a tree and leaving the other half floating
-do not constantly ask for a task from admins, if they have a task they will give it to you.
